AF&PA Releases Q4 2021 Boxboard Monthly Report

Total Boxboard production in Q4 increased two percent compared to Q4 2020. It was up two percent when compared to the same twelve months of 2020. The boxboard operating rate was 94.1 percent, up 0.7 points from Q4 2020 and up 1.2 points year-to-date.

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Heidi Brock issued the following statement supporting final determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce in response to petitions filed by U.S. manufacturers and the United Steelworkers. The U.S. Department of Commerce found that certain uncoated paper rolls from Brazil, China and Indonesia are circumventing antidumping duty orders and that imports of certain uncoated paper rolls from China and Indonesia are circumventing countervailing duty orders.
