American Forest & Paper Association Releases February 2022 Packaging Papers Monthly Report

WASHINGTON – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the February 2022 Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report. 

Total packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in February decreased two percent compared to February 2021. They were down two percent when compared to the same two months of 2021.

  • The operating rate was 86.8 percent, down 1.1 points from February 2021 and down 1.0 points year-to-date.
  • Mill inventories at the end of February increased two thousand short tons from the previous month, and were down 11 thousand short tons compared to February 2021.
