Total Boxboard production in Q3 increased six percent compared to Q3 2020. It was up two percent when compared to the same nine months of 2020. The boxboard operating rate was 95.0 percent, up 3.6 points from Q3 2020 and up 1.4 points year-to-date.

Total Containerboard production in Q3 increased nine percent compared to Q3 2020. It was up seven percent when compared to the same nine months of 2020.
Total printing-writing paper shipments increased 14 percent in August compared to August 2020. U.S. purchases of total printing-writing papers increased 12 percent in August compared to the same month last year.
