Brown paper packages arriving on doorsteps should be recycled. This is version 1 for the holiday recycling set.

Total Boxboard production in Q3 increased six percent compared to Q3 2020. It was up two percent when compared to the same nine months of 2020. The boxboard operating rate was 95.0 percent, up 3.6 points from Q3 2020 and up 1.4 points year-to-date.

Total Containerboard production in Q3 increased nine percent compared to Q3 2020. It was up seven percent when compared to the same nine months of 2020.

Recycled paper fibers can be reused 5 to 7 times to make new paper and cardboard products.  

The U.S. cardboard - what the industry calls corrugated - rate has exceeded 82% every year since 2009.

Our supply chain is inherently circular, from the replanting of trees that supply fiber and enhance the environment to recycling paper and packaging that is recovered and turned into new products.

AF&PA has issued two statements about pizza box recycling. Pizza boxes are recycled at paper mills around the country every day. Grease and cheese are not an issue. We encourage local communities to update their guidelines.
