Mark Wilde (“Dr Paper”) was among the longest serving paper analysts on Wall Street.  He was a Managing Director at Bank of Montreal, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust covering paper, forest products and packaging.  He was also a Partner at Bankers Trust. He has over 35 years of experience in the Forest Products sector and was prominent voice in arguing for the de-coupling of timberland assets from manufacturing.  Prior to joining Bankers Trust in 1988, Mark was a Senior Economist at The WEFA Group, a Philadelphia-based economics firm.

Mr. Wilde is a recognized paper, packaging and forest products sector expert, and has been cited in multiple financial publications and other media. He was been a consistent member of the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team, a ranking by Institutional Investor Research providing independent validation of qualitative market intelligence.  He has also been ranked #1 in the sector by the Greenwich Survey and in the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” survey. Mark was repeatedly recognized by Fast Markets/RISI as one of the sector’s most globally influential individuals, the only Wall Street analyst on the list.

Since retiring in 2023, Mark has served on the Board of Directors at Sylvamo, including membership on the Audit and Management Development & Compensation Committees. He also serves on the Basic Industries Roundtable at Madison Dearborn Partners.
