AF&PA Condemns U.S. Capitol Violence and Affront on Democracy

WASHINGTON — The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Heidi Brock issued the following statement in the aftermath of violent events that took place today in Washington, D.C.

“The scenes from the U.S. Capitol are unimaginable. This is not who we are as Americans, and this is not our American democracy. Our industry rejects violence in all its forms. A peaceful transition of power is the cornerstone of democracy, and we look forward to working with President-elect Joe Biden and his Administration to unite and strengthen America.”
