American Forest & Paper Association Releases September 2020 Packaging Papers Monthly Report

WASHINGTON – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its September 2020 Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report. 

Total packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in September increased 14 percent compared to September 2019. They were up four percent when compared to the same nine months of 2019. 

The operating rate was 92.3 percent, up 6.7 points from September 2019 and essentially flat (-0.1 pts.) year-to-date. 

Mill inventories at the end of September decreased 3,000 short tons from the previous month, and were up 12,000 short tons compared to September 2019.
