American Forest & Paper Association Releases February 2020 Containerboard Monthly Report

WASHINGTON – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) today released its February 2020 Containerboard Monthly report.
Total Containerboard production in February increased 10 percent compared to February 2019. It was up seven percent when compared to the same two months of 2019.
- February 2020 production of containerboard for export increased 55 percent compared to the same month last year; it was up 46 percent year-to-date.
- The containerboard operating rate was 93.4 percent, up 3.1 points from February 2019 and up 3.0 points year-to-date.
- Mill inventories of containerboard at the end of February increased 29,000 short tons from the previous month, and were up 44,000 short tons compared to February 2019.
