American Forest & Paper Association Releases October 2018 Containerboard Report

WASHINGTON - The American Forest & Paper Association released its October 2018 Containerboard Monthly report on November 15.

Containerboard production was up 0.5 percent compared to October 2017 and up 1.8 percent year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to September 2018 was 1.5 percent lower. The containerboard operating rate was 96.2 percent, 1.6 percentage points lower than the same month last year. Production for export decreased 13.3 percent from September 2018 after three consecutive increases but was still up 1.0 percent year-to-date.
