American Forest & Paper Association Releases July 2018 Containerboard Report

WASHINGTON - The American Forest & Paper Association released its July 2018 Containerboard Monthly report on August 15.

Containerboard production was up 4.2 percent compared to July 2017 and up 1.5 percent year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to June 2018 was 3.8 percent higher. The containerboard operating rate was 99.4 percent, 2.5 percentage points higher than the same month last year. Production for export reached its highest level for 2018 so far; it was 2.0 percent higher than July 2017 but 2.7 percent lower year-to-date.
