WASHINGTON — The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Heidi Brock issued the following statement on the inauguration of President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala D. Harris: 

“The American Forest & Paper Association congratulates President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on this historic day, the 59th Presidential Inauguration. A peaceful transition of power is the cornerstone of American democracy, and we look forward to working with the Biden-Harris Administration and the 117th Congress to strengthen and unite our nation. 

Sustainable practices and products are the foundation of our industry, our members and their employees – the approximately 950,000 individuals who make up the essential forest products industry. We are committed to protecting the environment and ensuring resources will continue to be available for future generations as we preserve and grow our economic contribution.”
