WASHINGTON – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the October 2019 Boxboard Monthly report on November 18.
Total Boxboard production in October increased three percent compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.5%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018. The boxboard operating rate was 91.7 percent, down 1.7 points from October 2018 and down 1.4 points year-to-date.
- Solid Bleached Boxboard production in October increased seven percent compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.4%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
- Recycled Boxboard production in October decreased one percent compared to October 2018. It was down one percent when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
- Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in October increased three percent compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.1%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
