The industry met March 26-28 at Paper2017. Approximately 800 people – representing over 700 manufacturers, distributors, and customers – joined us in Chicago.

Networking is a major component of this event, and participants had the opportunity to hold meetings in Official Paper2017 Suites and make new connections in the Connections Lounge and at the Paper2017 Reception.

Our programming included a Paper Industry Leadership Forum where a distinguished panel of industry executives gave their perspectives on how megatrends (accelerating urbanization; climate change and resource scarcity; demographic shifts; shift in global economic power; and technological breakthroughs) are likely to influence our business.

Our friends from RISI gave presentations on global trends for printing-writing papers, paper-based packaging, and recovered fiber.

The Paper2017 Luncheon, our final session, featured Susan O’Malley, the former president of Washington Sports and Entertainment and the first female president of a professional sports franchise, who gave an impressive keynote speech that highlighted her rules for leadership and life.

Paper2017 would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, company supporters and individual supporters.

We are looking forward to co-hosting our eighth annual event with NPTA next year and providing a valuable platform for our industry. Mark your calendars for Paper2018, which will be held March 11-13 at the Lotte New York Palace in New York City!
